Pre-record
Tarsier Creative have been responsible for bringing to live sessions to millions of people online.
Our style changes for every artist and we pride ourselves on our ability to be flexible to timetables, shooting as many as five fully unique live sessions in a day.
Case study: We Out Here
Over the past couple of years we’ve shot more than 20 live sets for We Out Here Festival, bringing in millions of views on social media - our session with Channel One Soundsystem has been seen by 850,000 on Youtube alone.
We had the pleasure of shooting the likes of Nubiyan Twist, Onipa, Ebi Soda and many more, in incredible venues such as the Round Chapel, Beavertown Brewery, Trinity Centre and House of St Barnabas.
These shoots have been unique in the fact that rather than having a day to shoot just one band, we’re normally shooting four in a day with quick turnarounds on edits as well, sometimes as little as 48 hours. For labels or events, the flexibility to shoot multiple sessions in a day can be invaluable.
Case study: Goodshed Sessions
We were approached by the team at the Goodshed in Stroud to shoot a series of sessions, in partnership with Jazz Stroud and Jazz South.
The Jazz Stroud sessions were stripped back, shot in the round, with a small live audience.
While our session with Roella Oloro was different. She wanted to push the boat out with the concept, creating a 60’s style perfumery vibe, with bold lighting and a mood to match her music.
Our set designer went to town, with flowers, glasswear, drapes and more to create a visual vibe and we lit the session to match, with strong colours, leaving lots of shadow and space.
The final product is one of our favourite sessions recordings to date and shows what we’re capable of when it comes to set design and lighting.
